Skint police chiefs have blown £250,000 on barmy branded gadgets together with stress balls and lip balm.
Furry policemen and Tardis-style police field fashions are amongst merchandise purchased by Police and Crime Commissioners over the previous seven years.
A Freedom of Data request requested how a lot had been spent on branded gadgets since 2012.
High of the record was Hampshire with £51,452 spent, together with £7,985 on keyring torches and £7,278 on stress balls.
Second was Devon and Cornwall who splurged £26,970, on gadgets akin to 9,000 “glitterbugs”, 2,000 tins of mints and 1,000 toothbrush units.

The £85,000-a-year commissioner, Alison Hernandez, authorised the acquisition of 21,000 pens and 1,000 lip balms.
The Sussex PCC purchased 1,000 pairs of branded plastic sun shades.
And Nottinghamshire’s commissioner splashed out on furry policemen. Avon and Somerset’s PCC Sue Mountstevens’s workplace spent £15,281 on merchandise since she was elected in 2012.
This contains £232 on Tardis prints and fashions.
A spokesman stated: “Utilizing gadgets branded with our contact particulars or details about what we do and the way the general public can have a say is an efficient manner of participating folks.”
