Former President of The United States (POTUS) Donald Trump is officially back in the upcoming presidential race. He recently appeared at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, just days after narrowly escaping an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. During the event, Trump received support from former Republican Party members like Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy. However, the standout moment happened when the organisers played a nostalgic compilation video of Trump dancing to the Village People’s hit song YMCA. Interestingly, the one-minute clip was shown before he took the stage. This dance became his signature move, which he used to perform while concluding the campaign rallies in 2020 and it has again captured internet’s attention.
The 1978 hit song is often played at weddings, parties and sports events in the US. In a recent video, Trump is seen dancing, waving, pumping his fists and clapping on the classic track, while the crowd cheers for him. This clip has left social media users delighted, as it brings the nostalgic vibe back from Trump’s 2020 campaign rallies. Sharing the video on X, a user wrote, “They played over a minute of Donald Trump dancing at the RNC convention tonight before they introduced him and I can’t stop laughing. It’s so cute.”
Reacting to the video, a person said, “He’s so much fun, I can’t understand the hate and vitriol the left has for him.”
Another shared, “He really is the GOAT.”
“My dad does this dance now because of Trump,” a comment read.
Another noted, “I need these dance moves back in the White House.”

US politics is currently dominated by two major parties, the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. In November 2024, Americans will choose their next POTUS. Current President Joe Biden is aiming to win his second term at the White House, running alongside Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate. Former President Donald Trump, on the other hand, is again running for the presidential race from the Republicans and recently selected Senator, author JD Vance as his running VP.
