A lady has been fined after she harassed a person she met on a relationship web site with anti-Catholic abuse amid claims he defecated in her mattress.

Sarah Jane Davidson from Aberdeen, Scotland, met the person on relationship web site Loads of Fish and the couple dated for 2 months earlier than they separated.

She was fined £300 by Sheriff Grant Hutchison for sending messages deemed grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character.

Depute fiscal Christy Ward instructed Aberdeen Sheriff Court docket that Davidson and the person she was relationship had fallen out when he refused to permit her to see his cellphone.

Ms Ward instructed the court docket: “The complainer met the accused on a relationship web site and on November 17 the complainer travelled to the accused’s flat.

“She was asking to see his cell phone as a result of she suspected he was seeing different girls, however he refused at hand it over.

“Later that evening the complainer obtained 29 messages which talked about his Catholic faith.

“The police have been known as and took screenshots of the messages.”

Within the messages Davidson despatched to the person, she wrote: “You and your father can go and browse the bible”, “sleep properly Mr Catholic”, and “sporting a cross would not make you a Catholic.”

The Defence agent Alex Burn stated Davidson was appearing after the person had allegedly defecated in her mattress.

Mr Burn stated: “They met on a website known as Loads of Fish and Ms Davidson is definitely a Catholic herself.

“She is single and works as a carer for her father who has dementia and her step mom who has most cancers.

“He had really defecated in her home and urinated in her home.

“Since this incident he has contacted her in a bid to rekindle the connection.”

Davidson, 52, pleaded responsible on Friday, November 29, to sending Whatsapp messaged that have been grossly offensive or of an offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character.

The offense was additionally deemed to be aggravated by non secular prejudice.
