The “minor explosion” occurred about three:10 a.m. on the second flooring of the station, 1718 S. State St., in line with Chicago police.
An “electrical problem” triggered a halon gasoline fireplace suppression system within the room, prompting a hazardous supplies response, in line with the Chicago Fireplace Division.
