The “minor explosion” occurred about three:10 a.m. on the second flooring of the station, 1718 S. State St., in line with Chicago police.
An “electrical problem” triggered a halon gasoline fireplace suppression system within the room, prompting a hazardous supplies response, in line with the Chicago Fireplace Division.
The constructing was evacuated of police personnel till the fireplace division ventilated the room, police mentioned. Employees returned to the constructing a short while later.
