PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – Progress is being made on efforts to broaden broadband web entry within the space.
Pittsylvania County partnered with RiverStreet Networks final 12 months to increase fiber-to-the-home web entry to unserved areas within the county.
Section one of many undertaking includes a $75 million fiber community that may attain about 12,000 places with out web by the top of 2024.
Building for part one is predicted to start initially of subsequent 12 months.
“It’s not only a high quality of life factor anymore. Web is a requirement for day-to-day life. That’s why Pittsylvania County has invested a lot on this undertaking. Pittsylvania County Colleges put some into this undertaking, as properly. The County hopes to proceed increasing web entry after part one is full.
